Lee Enterprises is seeking a candidate for the position of Customer Service Specialist within its centralized Customer Service team.

Position Responsibilities
  • Processes credit applications from new customers. Submits the applications to the credit manager for determination of credit status.
  • Maintains accurate account information in proprietary software including addresses, phone numbers, contact information and account status.
  • Researches accounts with credit balances more than 60 days old. Determines cause of credit balance and prepares documentation for refund or transfer according to department guidelines.
  • Provides accounting support to Advertising, including but not limited to invoice customer accounts as requested.
  • Responds to requests for credit references customers.
  • Reviews the data for completeness and correctness.
  • Monitors credit queues in proprietary software as needed.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the credit manager and other members of the credit department
  • Process payments received from customers, accurately and timely.
  • Resolves payment problems/ discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Answer inquiries from customers and company personnel regarding payment applications.
  • Return messages or inquiries for information requested in a timely basis.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace work environment
  • Microsoft Office to include excel experience
Education and Experience

Previous customer service experience is a plus. High School diploma is required.
