Director of Content
The editor of En Forme/Director of Content for VA plans, builds and manages editorial and advertising projects. The editor must have the skills to create unique on-brand content and social offerings across multiple platforms. The position requires project-management organizational abilities, and editorial and leadership skills. It assists in ensuring the quality, integrity and accuracy of all content for En Forme, special sections and special projects (Christmas Mother), etc....
The Director of Content and En Forme editor manages the budget for special products and oversees freelancers.
The Director of Content will report to the President of the Richmond Times Dispatch annd Publisher of En Forme magazine. They will act as one of the public faces of the department, attending events and promoting En Forme.
The ideal candidate is:
• Interested in exploring and strategizing around new content revenue generating opportunities
• Organized and comfortable working on multiple projects/editions simultaneously
• Excellent editing and writing skills and fresh ideas for stories, multimedia experiences and new ways to engage with users
• A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills
Skills:
• Plans and conceives advertising and event special projects - print section, online content, videos, and scripts
• Assign all content for special projects, including stories, photos, design, etc.
• Work with other departments to ensure deadlines are met and content meets high editorial standards
• Oversee all editorial components of En Forme magazine and yearly advertising special sections (Best, Top Workplaces, etc
