Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invites applications for a full time clinical practice interventional gastroenterologist to join our nationally ranked Digestive Health program. The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in general gastroenterology and the ability to perform minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders. The ideal candidate must be able to perform interventional endoscopies including, but not limited to endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and other advanced therapeutic procedures. The candidate should be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology and possess an Illinois license at the time of appointment. The preferred candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Loyola University Medical Center has a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, which lies immediately east of Hines' campus. Most faculty members of have joint appointments at Hines and Loyola students and resident physicians rotate through Hines as part of their training. Researchers from Loyola and Hines collaborate closely on many federally funded studies
