Skidmore College is accepting applications for a part-time Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner(NP) or Physician Assistant(PA)) position in our Health Services department. The NP or PA will work three days per week during the academic year (September – May) providing primary care and urgent care to Skidmore College students. The position initiates and monitors therapeutic treatment within the guidelines described in the established protocols and per community standards for the students of Skidmore College and provides health and wellness education and counseling. The clinician performs administrative functions, collaborates with departments such as Health Promotion, Residential Life, Counseling, Athletics, Academics, Campus Safety, and other areas of Student Affairs as requested by the Director of Health Services.

Education:
- NP – Master's degree in nursing in NYS, preferably as a Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner
- PA – Master's degree and licensed as a Physician Assistant in NYS. National certification as a physician assistant is required.
- 3 year minimum experience as a nurse practitioner, preferably including experience working with a college-aged population
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently, as well as work collaboratively with care team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility; adaptability
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Interest in and commitment to understanding and addressing inequities in health care
