The major functions are to provide psychiatric care to eligible students and to work collaboratively with the Student Health Service medical staff and Student Counseling Services clinicians. Also included are working collaboratively with other professional staff across the University, and community, to address as well as prevent behavioral health problems in the community.

This position is open to the possibility of allowing remote work within the state of Illinois and considering full-time or part-time work arrangements. The Student Health Services clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position will not be responsible for calls after hours. 1. Doctoral degree in medicine.
2. Medical license in Illinois within six months of start date.
3. Board certified in psychiatry, or board eligible from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
4. Accredited residency in psychiatry completed before start date.
5. Familiarity with current standards of care, knowledgeable about current assessment procedures, treatment methods, interventions and medications.
6. Possess the ability to effectively communicate with students and staff.
7. Ability to function effectively within the organizational and administrative structure of a university student health service.
8. Be able to work in a group practice situation with a team orientation.
9. Willingness to collaborate with and fully utilize the skills of nurse practitioners/physician assistants.
