Program Coordinator, New Organizations and Development



Student organizations play a major role in our active and vibrant campus community. Our Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) is here to ensure that our student organizations have the support they need to operate at the highest level. Reporting to the Associate Director for Organizations and Advising, the Program Coordinator will directly manage the registration process of 700+ undergraduate and graduate/professional student organizations. The candidate will also coordinate and facilitate leadership and organizational management trainings and/or resources for undergraduate and graduate/professional student organizations including programming specific to new student organizations. Plans and implements the Fall and Spring Involvement Fairs. Assists in the development and implementation of a student staff development program in line with University student employment and Student Affairs guidelines. Will assist the Associate Director in the development of the student organization consultant program, including program envisioning, staff/student training, and accountability.


Job Summary

Coordinates enrichment programs for students. Advises on, implements and facilitates student programs. Assists in policy and procedure development. Ensures adherence to regulations, guidelines, and curriculum standards. Coordinates and distributes support materials to promote enrichment programs. Assists with implementing training and development programs.


Essential Functions

Coordinates and manages student organizations. Advises on, implements and facilitates student organization related programs. Assists in policy and procedure development. Ensures adherence to regulations, guidelines, and all Registered Student Organization policies. Coordinates and distributes support materials to promote involvement in student organizations. Assists with implementing training and development programs.

• Coordinates training programs for student organizations.
• Advises on the formation of new student organizations.
• Collaborates effectively with community constituents as well across departments and units within the University for program development, new initiatives, and student organization success.
• Assists with scheduling and event planning.
• Develops written and online support materials for student organizations, student leaders and advisors to promote involvement.
