Summary

The Virginia Partnership for Gaming & Health (VPGH), Department of Rehabilitation Counseling, Virginia Commonwealth University, is seeking a creative, dynamic and resourceful Clinical Manager. This position is 50% FTE with potential for becoming 100% alongside project growth.

Within VPGH, the Clinical Manager will be responsible for developing curriculum and instruction for providers, building and maintaining community and private practice provider networks, and providing ongoing support to providers.

Typical Duties

Additional duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Assisting in planning and development of gambling education for providers. Maintain course materials, manuals, and other documents to ensure relevance to current treatment and recovery best practices;
  • Monitor implementation of provider education and certification;
  • Maintain membership in local, state, and national provider associations;
  • Provide ongoing support to participating VPGH providers;
  • Provide training and consultation to community members;
  • Develop new provider networks and maintain relationships with already vetted community/provider agencies;
  • Participate in community outreach and education;
  • Understand principles of supervision and training;
  • Provide individual/group counseling as needed;
  • Have knowledge of community resources, organizations and functions;
  • Be able to work in a team;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters in Counseling and/or a related field
  • Licensed as MH provider (LCSW, LPC, LMFC, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience or high potential for fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
This position is a restricted position with guaranteed funding for two years, with future employment contingent upon continued grant funding.

Salary Range: $36,000 - $44,000
