Due to retirement, an independent outpatient imaging center in Northern Virginia is looking for a BC/BE Radiologist (or Nuclear Medicine physician with CT reading experience) who is comfortable reading CT (mostly body, but also some head, neck, Sinus, CT urograms, Lung Cancer Screening, Coronary Calcium Scoring, Bone Density CT, etc.), as well as PET/CT and routine nuclear medicine studies, with I-131 treatments for cancer and hyperthyroidism. Our typical schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F, with no night duties and one Saturday per month reading 9 or 10 PET/CT or CT studies (you get a comp day during a week-day for this). We do not perform emergency studies, however we do a lot of cancer imaging. The majority of our CT's are for clinical research studies and they are very detailed and sometimes quite involved, tracking Target Lesions and Nontarget Lesions. We interact with the referring physicians a fair amount, either on the phone, via email or via text message. We have 3 doctors reading studies, with one assigned to Nuclear Medicine each day, helping out with PET and CT's in between. The other two read CT and/or PET. We have a brand-new Siemens GO.ALL 32 slice CT scanner (just began using it in February 2023), a 16 slice Siemens Biograph Horizon PET/CT scanner (2018), a Siemens Intevo SPECT/CT and a Siemens Evo SPECT camera (both 2018). We are allowed one meeting per year paid by the company, with all credentialing costs covered (state license, board certification fees, etc.). We usually start at 4 weeks vacation (negotiable depending on experience), plus one week for a meeting. We have a 401k plan, and full health insurance at no cost to employees. We have one reading room where all 3 docs read. We cover tumor boards twice per month each, all virtual through Oncolense. This is not a work-from-home position, as we see patients on the nuclear medicine side of the clinic and need to be present for any contrast reactions or extravasations. This opportunity offers one of the best work-life balance experiences available in radiology and in an area just outside of Washington, DC. Our clinic puts quality work above volume. Salary commensurate with experience. For more information or to schedule an interview, contact: Aaron L. Stack, MD at 240-447-4863 (cell), or 703-698-5593 (office), email: alstackmd@gmail.com.
Board certified or board eligible diagnostic radiologist or nuclear medicine physician. Comfortable reading CT, PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine studies, and performing I-131 Therapy.
